“Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.” ― Kahlil Gibran. The beauty of Venus’s unconditional love for my daughter Serina is so visible in this picture, makes me think of one of my favorite writers, Kahlil Gibran, and the very true and important message of that beauty lies in the heart of a Being.
We tend to be so caught up and blinded by the social pressure of being beautiful on the outside, forgetting that our true beauty is in our hearts, and the ones that truly SEES you, sees your heart before your face
Remember to see yourself from your heart, is it pure, is it kind, is it loving, is it honest? Look at the horses, nor are they aware of their own beauty or spending time thinking about it, yet we see their beauty and love them for all they are inside and out, and all they did was to be themselves
If only we all could be more like them, investing our time on polishing our hearts than our faces… and a deeper reflection upon that, Buddhism teaches us that all that we can take with us in the cycle of birth and rebirth, is our karma, not our faces and outer beings, but only our inner beings and the good and bad we’ve done that will follow us like a shadow.
Therefor it is so important to focus on the inner than the outer, as this will always be apart of us until the day we can break the cycle of birth and rebirth, not our faces.
All that said…It´s not wrong wanting to be beautiful on the outside, just don’t forget being beautiful in your heart is the most important
